The San Diego Rescue Mission Board of Directors provides oversight for the plans, progress and results of the ministry.

The Board serves a strategic role in promoting our Vision, protecting our Mission and ensuring the Rescue Mission reflects our Values of Faith, Integrity, Compassion and Excellence. Meeting four times a year with committee functions held between the quarterly meetings, our Board of Directors has four major responsibilities: provide strategic direction, supervise the President/CEO, review the finances and serve the Rescue Mission.

“I didn't really have a chance to be a father and now I do because he's here with me. I enjoy every day.

Since Lance was a little boy, he remembered growing up around alcoholics and drug addicts. Tragically, by the time he was 15 years old he had already experimented with hard drugs. By age 18, he had recurring arrests.

At the end of his rope, he grew tired of his way of life. He did not see a way out until his girlfriend introduced him to the San Diego Rescue Mission.

Being at the Mission improved Lance's life and led to him gaining custody of his child. Having his son with him every day has significantly strengthened their relationship. Lance walks his son to school and picks him up daily, cherishing the precious time spent together. He acknowledges the positive impact of having his son in his life. Lance is grateful that his son has the chance to make friends with kids close to his age.

Because of YOU, individuals like Lance and his son can find refuge and create cherished memories this Christmas.

At our Thanksgiving Meal, we served 900 people and provided showers & essentials to 129! ❤️

We’re doing it again on Saturday, December 21! Join us for a Community Christmas Dinner at the San Diego Rescue Mission (120 Elm Street) from 1 pm - 3 pm. 🍽️ Enjoy a traditional meal: glazed ham, au-gratin potatoes, salad, green beans, rolls, and pie.

Plus, we’ll offer showers, haircuts, giveaways, medical care, prayer, bag storage, and pet care.

The Adams family just let us know they are at it again this year!

Meet the incredible Adams family, who are illuminating hope with the twinkle of lights on Quarter Horse Circle!

Jessamyn and Steven have been married for 23 years with three kids, and they're devoted to their faith and community at Calvary Chapel Oceanside. Discovering the San Diego Rescue Mission through their church, they decided to support the Rescue Mission in a unique and oh-so-creative way by creating a synchronized holiday 🌟 LIGHT SHOW 🌟 in December.

This year is their third annual fundraiser.

“Being here has made me feel like I have hope for the future.” – Nicole Mission Academy Student

Nicole once had stability with an apartment, car, and job. Then tragedy struck when her apartment burned down. She lost her home and her car, leaving her homeless and overwhelmed.

After spending a few nights in a tent on the street, she came to the Rescue Mission desperate to keep her girls safe.
