Today, Vanessa has hope for her future and passion for sharing God’s healing with people who have faced similar hardships. She is no longer broken… her life has been transformed.

We are fortunate to partner with congregations like Venture Church, who provide meaningful support to men, women, and children experiencing homelessness. For over six years, Venture Church has been a dedicated partner, contributing by sponsoring the refurbishment of a Mission Academy room during our capital campaign and sending 30 to 40 volunteers annually to decorate the Mission for Christmas. In addition, they generously provide gifts for our students.

On this Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we remember his powerful words from his 1964 Nobel Peace Prize speech:

Since 1955, we’ve always been a leader in caring for our San Diego community. Our soup kitchen expanded to a short-term shelter for 85 men, marking the beginning of what would evolve into our Mission Academy Residential Program where we recently had 160 graduates in 2024.

Guided by our mission, WE: 🤝 Lovingly address the needs of men, women, and children experiencing homelessness. 📖 Share the Good News of Salvation. 💚 Provide a holistic approach to rehabilitation and recovery.
