By offering immediate assistance through Navigation Centers and longer-term rehabilitation through Mission Academy, we will get more people off the streets permanently.
As homelessness continues to grow in San Diego County, now is the time to make a change.
The Every Heart Capital Campaign
Our $25 million capital campaign will make this vision a reality. We’ve named this critical effort “Every Heart: Our Streets. Our Neighbors. Our Future” to reflect our deep commitment to the individual struggling with homelessness and to homelessness prevention in our community as a whole.
This campaign will fund four core initiatives:
- National City: Purchase, renovate, and provide operating costs at our new, 8-acre National City Navigation Center, provide 160 new beds, kitchen facilities, classrooms, and other necessary accommodations.
- Downtown San Diego:Renovate and refurnish 85+ sleeping rooms and 10 community spaces in our Mission Academy at 120 Elm Street.
- Oceanside: Operate the recently acquired Oceanside Navigation Center to provide 50 beds and related services. Note that the purchase and renovation costs have been supplied by the city of Oceanside.
- East County: Acquire property for a future Navigation Center in East County with an estimated 50 beds.
