🍂 As fall approaches, the urgent needs of our neighbors experiencing homelessness are shifting! We’ve created a new Amazon Wishlist with wet weather essentials, towels, clothing and bedding and we’d love your support!

We're looking for rain ponchos to help our neighbors living on the streets. These simple items not only provide protection from the elements but also bring a sense of dignity and compassion during our community meals for Thanksgiving and Christmas. When we offer essentials like meals, showers, shelter, and warmth, we show our neighbors in need that they are valued and cared for.

#HungerAwarenessMonth 🍽️

Did you know that in San Diego County about 840,000 people—25% of our neighbors—struggle with food insecurity and face challenges in getting three nutritious meals a day? This Hunger Awareness Month, we're spotlighting the incredible work being done to combat this issue.

With your support, the San Diego Rescue Mission’s Partners for Hunger Relief program is making strides by rescuing surplus food from restaurants and retailers such as Chick-fil-A, Costco, Target, and more. This food is redistributed to those in need and shared with other local organizations.
This fiscal year so far, we’ve:

🍲 Distributed 1,796,629 pounds of food to the community
🥡 Served 89,886 meals
🛍️ Provided groceries to 63,146 families
👥 Assisted 76,184 individuals with groceries
